One of the most experienced anaerobic digestion developers and biomethane producers in Ireland

Our Contribution to a More Sustainable Future

Rural Development

Each of our facilities will provide many employment opportunities in varied roles from operations to administration to managerial roles as well as providing considerable employment during the construction phase. The facilities will also offer local farmers an alternative method of selling their grass and crops for a fair price which supports local contractors and the wider community.

B

Air and Water Quality

Our facilities will help to indirectly reduce levels of nitrogen leaching to watercourses through precision agriculture whilst also reducing the amount of methane and nitrous oxide being released into the atmosphere by offering farmers alternative slurry solutions such as exporting slurry to an anaerobic digestor which can create renewable energy. This will aid in improving air and water quality issues at farm level along with removing existing slurry capacity pressures on farmers.

Biodiversity in Carbon Sequestration

The Carbon AMS AD plants have the ability to produce carbon and nitrogen rich digestates that help to store organic carbon in soils which can substitute synthetic nitrogen fertilisers which contributes to a more sustainable ecosystem in which biodiversity can thrive within. Our AD plant’s role in creating a sustainable energy cycle using regenerative agricultural practices ensures that organic resources are efficiently recycled, promoting environmental resilience.

Convert grass to gas

We are a single-source developer and manager of anaerobic digestion (AD) plants across Ireland and the UK. We convert “grass to gas” using the Carbon AMS pioneering approach to managing nutrients in the land. This unique energy biosystem ensures the highest grade biomethane, nutrient-rich bio-fertiliser and improved biodiversity. Farming families benefit from a sustainable source of income, and the potential to realise value from carbon
buildup on their farms.

Proven form in AD plant delivery & management

We are involved in 22 sites operational across Northern Ireland and Scotland with plans to roll out similar projects in the Republic of Ireland. Carbon AMS brings together an experienced and multi-skilled team of planners, engineers, agronomists and agricultural scientists. We care deeply about the environment, farming, biodiversity and renewable energy.

Our Services

PROJECT
DEVELOPMENT

Our strong in-house development team has a-z capabilities in getting AD projects off the ground to become functioning plants. From screening and feasibility, to design and planning procurement, and full operations modelling.

ENGINEERING
AND OPERATIONS

Our engineering and construction team has been working for more than a decade in the design, construction and commissioning of biogas facilities. Our operations and management team has proven form in turning around underperforming AD plants across Northern Ireland and the UK.

BIO-NUTRIENT
ECOSYSTEM

Led by agronomists and agri-scientists we use a pioneering approach to soil health which, through regenerative farming, produces sustainable “Green Gas” that is certified RED II compliant.

Our goal is to leave the natural environment in a measurably better state through our sustainable farming methods.

Farming and our bio-nutrient ecosystem

Our AD plants produce RED II compliant biogas and organic fertiliser using grass and slurry. But not just any grass will do, it needs to be of the highest quality. We obtain this through carefully nurtured relationships with the farmers and the land, and by building a bio-nutrient ecosystem. The Carbon AMS approach to anaerobic digestion delivers a unique win/win balance for all. For feedstock growers, rural economies, anyone using energy from our grid and for the environment.

Over 15 years’ experience in AD plant delivery and management.
