Richard Kennedy is the CEO of Carbon AMS. Richard was awarded the EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2019 and represented Ireland at the EOY Final in 2020. He is purpose-driven with a growth mindset and a track record for building a global brand in the agri-food business. Richard is the current chair of Intertrade Ireland and has over thirty years’ industry experience.
PAUL KINSGTON
COO
Paul Kingston is COO of Carbon AMS. He has been working in the renewable gas sector since 2008. Paul has a wealth of experience gained from developing his own consultancy business specialised in engineering and financial services to biogas and biomethane projects across Europe. He manages multiple CHP and biomethane plants in Ireland and the UK. Paul is an Operations Manager on the restructure of biomethane projects worth £40 million.
PATRICK HARTE
CTO
Patrick Harte is CTO of Carbon AMS. He has over 15 years’ experience working in the European renewable gas sector. Patrick built out a successful engineering business which specialises in the design, build, commissioning and operation of anaerobic digestion facilities and biomass advanced gasification plants throughout Europe. He is currently involved in the operation of five biogas facilities in Northern Ireland. He is also involved in the design and development of a breakthrough technology which converts sustainably sourced wood into ultra clean syngas. The syngas is then used to create green molecules like hydrogen and methane in the Netherlands.
MATTHEW LANG
Feedstock & Biomethane Lead
Matthew is the Biomethane and Feedstock Lead at Carbon AMS. He has 5 years’ experience in the biogas industry. Previous roles include operations manager for a renewable gas business focusing on bringing projects from design to commission to operation. Matthew has an Agricultural Science background with extensive experience in producing high quality AD feedstocks at large scale. He has extensive knowledge in nutrient recovery systems and managing the flow of nutrients for sustainable crop production.
RIAN KENNEDY
Biodiversity & Carbon Lead
Rian Kennedy is the Biodiversity and Carbon Lead at Carbon AMS. He has over 5 years’ experience in the sustainable agriculture field with a focus on maximising grass growth. Rian completed a Masters’ degree in Agricultural Science focused on sustainable farming practices. Rian has hands-on experience of delivering regenerative agricultural practices resulting in carbon neutral agriculture with extensive knowledge of crop production and carbon sequestration.
